Objective
This instructional web site is about showing middle school
teachers the why, where, when, what and how of integrating math and technology
in grades 6-8. It includes some practical sample lesson plans for a variety of
technologies including computer games, computer tools, and web sites, to address
instructional needs in Number and Operations, Geometry, Measurement, Data
Analysis and Problem-Solving.
Instructor
Yu-Lu Hsiung is a Ph.D. student in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Her area of specialization is Instructional Technology and Mathematics
Education. Her research interests are development of math and technology
curricula and issues of implementing technology with math in K-12 classroom
environments. She has teaching experiences in elementary school, special
education settings, teacher training, private tutoring and college level
instructions.
