Recommendation for Megan Yeats
Megan will be an excellent addition to any secondary school English department. She has excelled in her performance and is completing her student teacher placements within the University of Illinois Certification Program.
I supervised Megan for seven weeks in her high school placement. I have
found Megan to be extremely hard working. She has been able to construct
thorough lesson plans that have moved the students through the lesson.
She has done this in an engaging manner and has been successful in teaching
the content pertaining to literature, including Shakespeare. Megan has
done this by encouraging students in a positive manner and by designing
lesson plans which use clear objectives and instructional goals. She has
learned to implement lesson plans and has worked on strategies to connect
the content to students of varying ability levels. She has a great ability
to reflect upon and improve her teaching by seeking responses from the
students themselves. She shows extreme concern for her students' learning.
Megan also relates well with colleagues, with students, and with the
whole school community. She definitely presents a caring nature that will
benefit the overall classroom environment.
I highly recommend Megan for any position as an English teacher. If
there are any questions, please call me or e-mail me at the address below.
