Here are a selection of some
of the online resources I have found useful as an educator:
Google Search
Engine-The best, hands down, for getting
more and more relevant hits from your search string
S.C.O.R.E. Cyberguides Literature
Units-This database from the San Diego,
CA school system provides effective online-based unit and lesson
plans for several popular works of literature
Dictonary.com-It's a dictionary,
it's a thesaurus, and it's very handy to use when the computer
is nearby and online. Type in a word, and up pop all the definitions,
synonyms, and antonyms
Global
SchoolNet's Global Schoolhouse-A huge
database of online opportunities for teachers to collaborate,
communicate, and celebrate shared learning experiences
DiscoverySchool.com-Created
by the Discovery Channel, this database is useful for educators,
students, and parents. A highlight is the ability to create online,
form-based quizzes and custom worksheets.
