For my major project I  created a webpage that would help teachers troubleshoot technology problems that are encountered frequently in the classroom. My goal is to have teachers use this page to do simple troubleshooting themselves instead of relying on Learning Center Staff to do it. Learning Center Staff won't be available as often next year to solve problems that can easily be done by classroom teachers.
This page will eventually be posted on our school website.  During the beginning of the school year I'll explain how I want it to be used and how teachers will need to use the form to report any problems that they have in the classroom.
In this page I also provided some information that would be found useful in the classroom in dealing with the Samba server that is available.  In August after I have gone through training for our new Zen Server I will add directions and tips for it's usage to this page.
At the end of this page I have included a form that will enable those that are having a problem dealing with technology  to easily let me know that they are having difficulties after troubleshooting the problem they are encountering. It will also inform me of what  has been done to try and resolve the problem and whether or not someone else needs to be contacted to help correct the problem.
Rather than keeping a log of all problems that occur throughout the school year I'll be able to print the form that is submitted to keep on file. These forms will be easy to sort by teacher or by problem. Printing out these reports will make record keeping so much easier. Keeping an accurate record of the equipment in our building will also help when it comes to replacing equipment that has shown constant need of repair.
