Some may argue that Yahoo! offers just that....the World!  I happened to stumble upon Yahoo! SiteBuilder while searching for the easiest and cheapest way to build a site! I've only used Netscape and Dreamweaver in the past. I was happy with the ending results using Dreamweaver, but it is a bit pricey compared to a $0 cost of Yahoo! SiteBuilder.

To use Yahoo! SiteBuilder, you must download it to your computer. This is a benefit because it allows you to work on your web site even when you're offline.

It's so easy! There is absolutely no programming knowlege required! Yahoo! SiteBuilder offers an easy to follow tutorial and an interface similar to your popular wordprocessor. This is important to me and my school district because if it is too difficult for a beginner to use, then beginners are not going to use it!

SiteBuilder offers over 1,100 copyright-free images to add to your site, and 206 templates. There is also an option to customize you own unique look.

SiteBuilder is aimed toward small and medium sized business, so the only downfall I see with using their clipart and templates is that it may not suit all educational needs. As a teacher, I know how much we love our clipart! Of course there is an option to download the clipart of your choice.

I also appreciate the fact that it is cost sensitive. As I was spending much time reviewing website builders and downloading their 30 day free trials, I realized that many of them were not only hard to learn, but they were a bit too pricey for my district to consider at this time.

You may think that Netscape is also easy to use and cheap, but I've found that SiteBuilder is more flexible than Netscape. Tranlation...I spent less time moving, resizing, and adding objects to SiteBuilder than Netscape.

I was amazed at what Yahoo! SiteBuilder offers without cost. I believe it is the easiest sitebuilding tool you can use at a very attractive price!
