Teacher's PageThis web quest was developed as a resource for teachers and demonstrates one way the internet may be used as an instructional tool. It also serves as a means for enhancing teachers technology skills. For further information on how a web quest meets the technology standards for teachers please visit the NETs for Teachers web site which defines the Educational Technology Standards and Performance Indicators for All Teachers. This web quest is targeted at students grade 8 and above. It may be used as a cross disciplinary project with Science, Social Studies and Language Arts. I am not a classroom teacher but rather work in a school district's information technology department. Thus I would like to direct you to the Illinois Learning Standards Web Site and its link to the National Educational Technology Standards for Students which will help align curriculum specific technology goals with this web quest.
