My Professional/Learning Life:
Currently, I am an English teacher at Teutopolis High School in central-southern Illinois. I teach several levels of English--from English I to Advanced Senior British Literature and College Prep. In addition to my academic duties, including the instruction of a P.E. course, I coach scholar bowl and supervise a student-led group called sHine. On the side, I teach and develop courses for Illinois Virtual High School (IVHS). Then, of course, I am working on my Masters in Education through the CTER Program at the University of Illinois. I keep busy.
My Personal Life:
Aside from school, I enjoy time in my new home with my husband (Patrick) and son (Brayden). We play at the lake behind our house, watch football games on Sunday afternoons, and go camping whenever we can. I also sing in a band occasionally (about twice a month). I hope to eventually incorporate more about my family and music into my eportfolio as time allows. Until then, enjoy navigating my site, which provides information about the courses I teach and develop as well as the course(s) I am taking.
