Nvu
Nvu is an advanced Html editing tool that I choose due to it's ease of use.  I have used Nvu in creating my eportfolio and other web pages such as my Activity 1 project for Edpy 590.
TOOLS
I can manipulate the tool bar with ease changing font color, text size, and high-lighting text.

LINKS

Adding links to other sites with a simple click of a button and addition of the URL.

check

Spell check is available which is a feature I take full advantage of!

Tables are helpful in

organizing data and information.
They can be small, perfect for punnet square practice for my genetics students:

            B                        B
Bb  Bb
Bb Bb

Adding an image from the Internet is easy to help clarify and make the web-page look nicer.

Nvu can be downloaded for free so as far as cost effectiveness, it is definitely worth it!  Many of the others, such as dreamweaver, I found much harder to work with and after the free trial expires, very expensive!
