The Button Belcher

This instrument is named after my favorite kitten that we gave away while building this instrument, Buttons. Also since it plays lower notes and it is hard to get it to make the perfect sound like a belch.

Materials:

• 2 liter soda bottle
• 2 circular pieces of wood (that can hold the o-ring in place)with holes for the bolt
• 2 nuts (for the bolt)
• 2 washer
• 1 long bolt
• 1 o-ring

Instructions:

1. Cut the bottom of the soda bottle off.

2. Put the o-ring in between the 2 pieces of wood.

3. Put the bolt with a nut and a washer on it through the two pieces of wood.

4. Put the other washer and nut on the other side of the wood and tighten it together.

5. Put a thin layer of vaseline on the o-ring. Put the o-ring in the bottle and make sure it is tight.

6. Decorate with colored tape.

7. Blow into the top to make it play.

To change pitches move the o-ring up and down by pushing and pulling on the bolt.
