Her students often ask her this question. She jokingly tells them,
"Because I really wanted to be an actress and you're my captive audience!"
All joking aside, Kerin has grown up wanting nothing more than to
be a teacher. Along her journey toward this goal she only held jobs
that had her interact with children. She connects with kids on a
personal basis and feels she's able to keep the curriculum alive for them.
Her motto in class is "It will not be boring, because I don't know
how to do boring." Her classroom truly is her stage, though. She
feels she puts on a performance every day, and loves that at the end of
the performance, the students don't applaud, but show growth.
