Conclusion:

The ease of this plan in addition to the support from the district initiatives for technology integration and differentiation will promote the use of the mobile lab. By employing procedures for checking out the lab and reporting problems as well as providing adequate technical support, the teachers will find the mobile lab to be a very reliable, useful, and motivational tool in the classroom. This plan would be easy to reproduce in another school with the proper funding, support from administrators, and staff development.

Over time the use of technology will bring a heightened level of enthusiasm and confidence to both staff and students. As a result the staff will be more comfortable with the evolution of technologies and learning new ways to bring it into their classrooms. The collection of lesson plans in the Teaching Technology log will have a significant amount of resources for the staff to make use of. Academic achievement will also be enhanced by the ample supply of resources provided by the mobile lab. Palombi Middle School will be able to grant their students with the proper technological skills needed to excel in and out of school for years to come!

Implementing a Wireless Mobile Lab System reinforces the notion that, “Since students thrive on creating and being a part of a community, technology design is beginning to make a difference in teaching and learning as it is in society as a whole.” (Whitehead- pg. 13)
