Student Awards
Math Award- At the
end of specified quarter students earning the following achievements
will
receive a Math Award Certificate. Awards
are given to students who can solve 100 multiplication, 100 division,
or 100
division/multiplication problems within 5 minutes.

Spelling Award-
Students receiving perfect scores on all spelling tests in a quarter
will
receive a spelling certificate.
BUG (Bringing Up
Grades) Award- This award is given in 2nd, 3rd,
and 4th
quarters only. Any students bring up a
grade a whole letter grade without any grades going down by a whole
letter
grade will receive a bug award. Students
will receive a bug certificate and their names will also be displayed
on the
awards bulletin board.
Gold Honor Roll-
Students with straight A’s including PE and Music are eligible for this
award
and their names will also be displayed on the awards bulletin board.
Silver Honor Roll-
Students with all A’s and B’s including PE and Music are eligible for
this
award and their names will also be displayed on the awards bulletin
board.
Principal’s STAR
Award- Students who have no late work for the quarter receive
this honor. Students receive an award
certificate from
the principal and their names will also be displayed on the awards
bulletin
board.
Book-It Reading
Program- From October to March students who read books according
to the
classroom goals set forth, will receive a certificate from Pizza Hut
for a
personal pan pizza.
Perfect
Attendance-Students will perfect attendance for a quarter will
receive a
perfect attendance certificate.
600 Minutes
Reading Program- Students who read 600 minutes in a 6 week
period will receive
a certificate for free admission to Six Flags Great America.
Accelerated Reader
Incentive Program- Students who participate in Accelerated
Reader will receive
awards according to how many points they earn.
Awards will be given through the LRC.
