Project Goals

This internet-based collaborative project will allow students to share information about electricity usage with students from around the country. Students will gather data about their own household electricity usage and find the average amount used in a week. They will compare this to the average amount of electricity used in other parts of the country.

To help maintain the timeliness of summer project participant results, please look for the sun symbol next to essential components of the project for summer completion. The remaining results will fit nicely into a fall project completion timeline.

Grade Levels

This project is appropriate for students of all ages. Younger students can use calculators to find averages, while older students can expand the project.
