    My major project is a lesson on Transportation Systems.  This is a project in which students must use the modern technology of the internet to plan a trip from a given starting point to a given destination.  The students must research three different types of travel, and make the best choice.  I have made worksheets for the students which they will open in word and word process their data on the sheet, then e-mail it to me. The project is can be completed without paper.


Objectives:

  By the end of this activity, the student will be able to:
                1.  Research specific technologies.
                2.  Evaluate possible solutions.
                3.  Use modern communication mediums.
                4.  Analyze and select an appropriate solution.


Current Status:        Project Website

    The project is currently ready for use by my classes.  I feel this will be a project that will be modified and adjusted once my students start working on the site.  The main goal of this project is for students to have the opportunity to do structured research, and use the modern e-mail system to submit work.
