This webquest has been created to allow students to not only learn about an important and often overlooked aspect of world history, but to understand how what appear to be simple facts in history books are actually large factors in the creation of the history and world that we live in today.  Students are given web-tools to analyze aspects of the 3 tasks
of creating a new map portraying political and world religion boundaries, a comparative parallel timeline of real and fictional events, and a creative journal or diary.  Each task requires research, teamwork, and creative and critical thinking. Various means of research are listed in the Resources page and students are encouraged to do additional research.  Rubrics are included to direct student projects and help evaluate student work.
If you have any additional questions, comments, suggestions or would like to share examples of student work, please email Mr. Jakob
