students were not able to actually visit this McDonald's, this information was
obtained through a written request to an area business with offices in
Mexico.
12. Other features / learned? - The packaging
received from Mexico was a little different than the packaging received from US
restaurants. The burger is still packaged in Styrofoam. The
french fry container used slightly different dye coloring and the copyright
dates on the bottom of the packaging was several years old. We
discussed the possibility that because of poverty / lower incomes
perhaps people don't visit McDonalds as often in Mexico as they do in the
US and that is why they still have packaging that is that old. We
also talked about the fact they Mexico may not be as environmentally conscience
as we are in the US and that is why they are still using Styrofoam.
The bag is printed with the slogan, "I'm Lovin' It" in several languages
although the Spanish version is highlighted in dark blue.
