Introduction
This WebQuest was designed as a project of the University of Illinois' Online Master of Education Program: Curriculum, Technology and Education Reform.


Learner
This lesson was designed to be adapted to varying levels of ability.  For more advanced classes, the instructor may wish to forego the trip log and let students design their own trip log using a spreadsheet. I believe that this lesson can be tied to many cross-curricular areas.


Curriculum Standards

This lesson meets the learning standards of:
                                        Solving Problems
                                        Communicating
                                        Working on Teams
                                         Making Connections


Resources Needed

    For students to adquately perform the research needed for this WebQuest, they need access to computers that are connected to the internet.  To complete the poem or song portion of the WebQuest, students will need access to a word processor.  More advanced students may chose to compile their data in a spreadsheet.

Evaluation

    The evaluation rubric should be quite self explanatory. Groups will present their WebQuest to the class for a final project.
