Very interesting....Hmmmm

Write a short summary on why you believe gas prices are higher in some towns and lower in others.
Participant 1:
"I think that gas is more expensive in larger towns. The smaller towns usually have gas stations that are owned by a local person trying to give a better price to the customers.
This could also be the exact opposite. If a small town only has one station they have complete control and can charge whatever they want. "
Participant 2:
"Gas prices differ for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons are because of the location and size of the station. A small locally owned station is usually going to have to charge a higher price because of the cost to get a tanker load of fuel. Supply and demand also play an importatnt role in the price. Prices are also dependent on whether or not a station is full service or self-service. Stations that offer convienience are usually cheaper because of the revunue made off of the other goods and services.
It would be an inaccurate statement to say that all small town stations are more expenive that large town stations or vice versa."
Particpant 2:
"Gas prices are usually lower in smaller cities because the stations are trying to get a lot of business. In the big cities the price may be higher because the cost of living is higher."

Are there other factors that impact gas prices?

Does town size impact gas prices?
Participant 1:
"
Town size does have an impact on the price of gas. The larger the town the higher the price. "

Participant 2:
"Town size does have an impact on the price of gasoline. But it is impossible to say whether it is a negative or positive impact. As different times of the year the impact is different ."

Participant 3:
"I think that town size does have an impact on the price of gas.I think that it depends what state you are in whether the price is higher in the large cities or small cities. It could be high in a large city to make up for those who don't drive, but it could also be high in a small city to make a lot of money because everyone does drive.
