Anyone can be a teacher, I want to be an educator. I want to be able to share with my students my knowledge and in return I want them to share with me theirs. I believe the classroom is a place in which everyone has something they can bring to the table. Although as the "teacher" I am expected to hold the lion's share of knowledge I never want my student's to think I have all the answeres or that I am always right. I love a good discussion. Sometimes I am right, other times my students prove me wrong. Teachers usually hate this, but as an educator I love when my studetns know enough to prove me wrong, it means they are using their own intellect... and that they are thinking. I believe myself to be an educated person, one who has a wealth of knowedge to share with my students on the visual arts. However, just as I never want my students to stop growing and learning I too never want to stop growing and learning and I want my studetns to benefit from this.
