5. Learning Environment: The teacher uses an understanding of individual and group motivation and behavior to create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation.

Artifact 1:  Classroom Discipline Plan
Explanation: Schools exist for the students, and not for the teachers. It is important for me to expend every effort necessary to make the curriculum relevant, the lessons interesting, and the activities enjoyable. The result will be students engaged and active participants in the learning process.  In order to achieve this I have developed a classroom discipline model that I follow with my students.
