Why are we doing this project?
The purpose of this project is for you to learn to use the Internet while finding information, both fun and interesting, about the day you were born. When you have finished collecting the data, you will then create a presentation that summarizes this information, first in a Kidspiration organizer and then a Hyperstudio card stack.
How do we start this project?
-Your teacher has printed a copy of your data sheet for you to record and organize your information.
-There are 8 questions (with matching links) that are available for you to discover some interesting facts about the wonderful day you were born.
-Be sure to follow all of the directions for each link.
-This site has been bookmarked on your computer, so if you somehow get "lost", just return to the bookmark.
-Record your data on the sheet provided.
-Be sure to answer the special questions from Mrs. J. at the end of the data sheet.
-Click here to begin your research.
How do we complete this project?
-Now that you have done your research, you are going to complete a Kidspiration organizer, adding graphics to your data.
-Begin thinking about how you will organize your data from the Kidspiration organizer into a Hyperstudio presentation.
-Roughly plan out your pages/cards, deciding how you are going to display your information and in what order.
-Decide what graphics, fonts, etc. you will use for your presentation.
-Submit your ideas to your teacher for approval.
-Begin your Hyperstudio project.
