Data Results

After averaging the raw data, my class worked together to create bar graphs comparing the average family in Chicago to the average family in Nicaragua.
The students reviewed their graphs and as a class we developed and discussed possible reasons for what we were looking at.
Findings
On average:
  • Familiy size is about the same.
  • Nicaraguan students have more generations living in their home.
  • Chicagoan students have about the same number of males and females living in their home.
  • Nicaraguan students have more females living in their home.
  • Chicagoan students have more brothers.
  • Nicaraguan students have more pets than Chicagoan students.
