Life in the church
“A church that does not know precisely what it is supposed to
accomplish will either do nothing or will spread itself too thin by trying
to do everything.”
At Faith we express our mission in three
parts:
TO SHARE with as many people as possible the transforming power of
God’s grace;
TO WELCOME people into the loving community of Christ’s church; and
TO HELP PEOPLE GROW to more clearly reflect the life of Jesus Christ
Together we are committed to becoming more like Christ, forming our lives
in accordance to God’s word in the Bible. For us as a community, this
includes pursuing a common vision to be:
a friendly, inviting community…where seekers can find answers to their
questions about God and develop a relationship with Christ.
A healing community….where hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and
the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance,
and encouragement.
A worshiping community…offering a variety of creative worship
experiences that communicate the gospel to meet the practical, everyday
needs of people in our community.
A nurturing community…for people to grow closer to Christ and to each
others through a variety of small groups and Christian education
opportunities.
A serving community…where people discover and employ their spiritual
gifts to serve the needs of other people, our congregation, and our
community.
