About Me

Home About Me Credentials Teaching Philosophy Curriculum Research Learning Into Practice

I am in my sixth year of teaching at Logan Junior High School in Princeton, Illinois. During
my first year I taught the drama classes as part of the exploratory program for grades five through
eight. For three years I taught seventh grade English and social studies. My present teaching
assignment is still in seventh grade, however I teach only language arts classes--English and
literature.

While at Logan, I have involved myself in various activities, responsibilities, and leadership roles:

I am a graduate of Wheaton College with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I began a graduate
program in Curriculum at another state university, however I left that program to enroll in the CTER
online program through University of Illinois. I was looking for ways to improve my knowledge
and use of technology in the classroom, so this program seemed to be the perfect fit.

During the past two years of the CTER program, I have tried to integrate my learning into everyday practice. Hopefully, my experience in this program has not only improved my own understanding of educational technology but also that of my students and school.
