In 2004 I
completed my B.S. in Ed from Illinois State University in
Normal, IL. I graduated with a degree in Special Education
with a focus in Learning Disabilities annd Behavior Disorders.
Currently, I am enrolled in the CTER
(Curriculum Technology and Education Reform) online program through the
University

Current positions: I teach 6th-8th grade at Partners for Success in Addison, IL, an alternative program provided by the Regional Office of Education of Dupage County. I am currently teaching students in all the core subject areas. I am also teaching a new resource program for Illinois Virtual High School. I am assisting with the development of the course as well as teaching. Most recent former position: 7th grade Special Education teacher at Prairie Central Junior High, Forrest, IL. I co-taught math, English, and Literature in an inclusion setting, taught adaptive P.E., worked with students in a self-contained resource study hall, and made adaptations/modifications for students in social studies, science, and elective classes. |
My hobbies include writing/playing music, soccer,
cooking, reading, American Sign Language and snowboarding.
In recent months, I have spent most of my time experimenting
with new (mostly web-based) technology and have an interest in
education reform through web-based technology. My husband Jon and I have been married four years. We have an adorable beagle named Bear. |
