Biographical Information
I have been teaching at Sterling High School for the past seven years, since graduating from the University of Illinois in 1996. I am an English teacher with one class of regular English II, one class of clustered English II, two classes of Communications, and one class of Accelerated English. Additionally, I teach in the Evening Flex program, which is designed for students who can not make it in the traditional classroom or who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from full time attendance during the day. I also sponsor National Honor Society and have begun a support group for our teen parents. My husband Chris and I have three daughters: Mackenzie, 5; Megan, 4;
and Madilyn, 1. They are absolutely beautiful little girls who keep me
extremely busy running between soccer and tae kwan do. It is very challenging
to balance a full time job and parenting, not to mention throwing in graduate
school. However, my husband is just as excited as I about this program,
so his support should help me be successful. I know that I wouldn't have
even taken this on without his encouragement. |
