Dreamweaver 4 is an html editor made by Macromedia. It works together with other Macromedia products to give the user a full range of page-making capabilities. To purchase Dreamweaver 4, a user will spend a little under three hundred dollars. However, Dreamweaver 4 is not Macromedia's latest version of this product. Users of Dreamweaver 4 can choose to upgrade to Dreamweaver MX for a cost of around two hundred dollars. Dreamweaver gives the user the choice of using layout cells or using frames. Using frames means that each different section of each page is actually a separate web page, each with its own url. Using cells is like using a program like Publisher, and all information/cells on a page are saved together as one url. Macromedia does give student prices for its software. They offer a package of products called Studio MX, which sells for $899, for only $199 to students and teachers, and the package includes the following Macromedia products: Dreamweaver MX To try a free trial of any of Macromedia's products, visit their site at www.macromedia.com.
