DreamWeaver 8
Design, develop, maintain interactive online experiences with the latest DreamWeaver

DreamWeaver is the industry's leading web development tool.  DreamWeaver 8 offers many web tools and applications for its users:
Greater control over page layout with zoom and design tool.
User friendly tool bar with extended options.
Supports both CSS and accessibility.
Inegrate with new drag and drop applications.
Add flash video to new webpages.

Dreamweaver is a very professional user-friendly program that combines DreamWeaver, Flash Professional, Fireworks 8, Contribute 3, and Flash Paper 2.  Unfortunately to own Dreamweaver can be quite expensive.  Dreamweaver will cost around $400, but you can download a 30 day-trial from macromedia for free for your own personal use.  Many businesses are currently using Dreamweaver because of its unparalled efficiency to produce and maintain standards based web-applications.  It is the the standard in professional editing.  Dreamweaver is a simple drop and drag program that allows users to be both precise and prompt in their work.  Educational institutions are also jumping on the Dreamweaver bandwagon because of its reputation.  Although it may seem too expensive for schools, Macromedia offers educational discounts to schools and universities.  The discounts offered through Macromedia are non-contract and allow educational institutions to choose from 3 different discount options to find the program that best suits the needs of the school.  In fact, UIUC offers the complete Macromedia Studio 8 Suite, which includes Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks, and Flash Professional 8at $100 through the university webstore.

When comparing DreamWeaver 8 to other HTML editor software, I found DreamWeaver very user-friendly.  DreamWeaver 8 has a very useful tutorial that takes users step by step through the process of designing and developing web applications.
Dreamweaver offers many benefits to its users, including the Macromedia Developer Center, developer certification programs, training and seminars, user forums, and independent user support sites.
