Macromedia® Dreamweaver® MX is an HTML editing program designed to help users create their own web documents. Dreamweaver, along with several other HTML editors, functions much like word processing programs, and requires no knowledge of HTML coding. Users can open a document, begin typing, and save their work with a ready-to-publish web document as a result.
As a participant in the CTER program at the University of Illinois, my instructors require me to post much of my work on the world wide web through the College of Education's server. Until now, I created my work posted there in Netscape Composer, an HTML editing tool much like Dreamweaver. Composer allows me to design pages easily and quickly, but I am frustrated with its design limitations. Not knowing much about HTML, I am excited to undertake this activity and learn about a new HTML editing tool. Because several other students in my program use Dreamweaver, I choose to explore its possibilities for Activity 6 in Educational Psychology 490 NET.
