Changed Assessments October Review, October 27-31: Previously, there were no documented assessment practices until the end of the unit. Therefore, the "changed" assessment idea does not exactly apply. The program will incorporate new formative assessments. This October assessment will cover the following items:
November Assessments: The previous "changed" assessment will help the program incorporate documented formative assessments in order to see if the program can be enhanced. In November, the teacher will begin more frequent formative (daily-weekly) assessments in order to see if the program can be further enhanced. The teacher will provide daily lessons using conversations, skits, and text exercises. Using student output, the teacher will document their individual progress as "Emerging," "Meets Standard," or "Exceeds Standard." This information will help set the pace for the class and help direct instruction for the individual student.
November 10-14 topics:
Summative Assessment, November 24-28: The teacher will create activities and converse with students in order to provide a progress report for Unit One. This summative assessment will take the place of the individual conferences.
