RC Roller Coaster
    WebQuest
King     Have you ever ridden on a roller coaster and wondered: How high is this hill? How fast am I going now? and why?  If you were to build a roller coaster, how high and how fast would you want your riders to go? What would your roller coaster design look like? Why would you design the roller coaster that way?
This Roller Coaster WebQuest challenges you to use the web to investigate roller coaster design alternatives and then build a model of a roller coaster that could be constructed at an amusement park.

INTRODUCTION:
The Kiddyland Amusement Park needs a new roller coaster.  They have requested a bid to purchase a roller coaster from your employer, Roller Coasters 'R Us.  The Kiddyland executive stressed that he wants a roller coaster that is visually appealing, as well as, an exciting thrill ride for their customers. Their customers are children between the ages of five and twelve.
You are determined that your design team from Roller Coasters 'R Us will provide the best roller coaster that suits the needs of the amusement park and is also financially feasible considering their budget constraints.  To that end, your team will provide a scaled drawing, a three dimensional model of the proposed roller coaster, a budget of costs, and then will make a Power Point presentation to the executives of the amusement park. This presentation will convince them that your team has designed the best roller coaster model for construction on their site.
